Joseph Sobek is credited with inventing the modern sport of racquetball in 1950 in the US (the outdoor, one-wall game goes back to at least 1910 in N.Y.C.), adding a stringed racquet to paddleball in order to increase velocity and control. Unlike most racquet sports, such as tennis and badminton, there is no net to hit the ball over, and, unlike squash, no tin (out of bounds area at the bottom of front wall) to hit the ball above. Also, the court's walls, floor, and ceiling are legal playing surfaces, with the exception of court-specific designated hinders being out-of-bounds.

CONTINUITY
As of this episode, Gus is 29 and he’s a few months older than Shawn. Now, based on this, what I said in the post about 1x10 “From the Earth to Starbucks”, is wrong. His mother had to have left when he was around 14. He was 18 when *he* left.
This is the first time Gus is mistaken for Bud from “The Cosby Show”
Though unseen, Shawn rides his motorcycle to the office as he walks in with his helmet
Mrs. Pickles is back! (1x03 “Speak Now or Forever Hold Your Piece”)
